Last year we celebrated Eid al-Adha (or the Feast of the Sacrafice) with Josh's infamous crazy bridge trip and yummy morsels of lamb at friends' houses. This year we are back in a more predominantly Fulbe community which means we got to celebrate at the Lamiido's (the king) palace and see the Fantasia of horses. Two thoughts came to mind as I saw these pictures. First: reading your blog is far better than a subscription to National Geographic - and second: how awesome it would be if the entire village, from the king on down, came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and then all the beauty of the animals and the pageantry could somehow be turned into a praise and celebration in honor of the King of Kings!!
